What should be attached to the result?
Keep the completed checklist with the response register and final file list. It should show who checked each control and what remains open.
| Control | Evidence | Owner |
|---|---|---|
| Compliance | Requirement register | Bid manager |
| Technical | Review record | Technical lead |
| Commercial | Qualification approval | Commercial lead |
| Submission | Final file list | Submission owner |
What is outside the tool?
The checklist does not provide legal advice, technical approval or a guarantee of winning work. It helps the team find missing control evidence before issue.
Common questions
What else should the bid team know?
Can a bid writer invent a capability claim?
No. Every credential, project example, statistic and promise needs an approved source. Unsupported claims should be left out or added to the open questions list.
Who approves the technical response?
The responsible engineer or technical lead approves technical content. The bid writer controls structure, clarity and response compliance.
Does a response template guarantee compliance?
No. The issued tender, addenda and approval record control the final submission.
